Hello from Detmold!

Let’s start with the best news of the week: The program is finally finished. This year’s International Short Film Festival is going to take place from 19th to 25th of August in Detmold. ✨ And what can you expect during these six days? Screening of the short films from all around the world, meetings with directors, multiple discussions about the movies with the producers and much more!

Detmold has many beautiful spots and the International Short Film Festival will take place in many of them. Kaiserhof, Cafe Cup or Stadthalle? We got them all!  But don’t worry, you won’t get confused! We have prepared a brief timetable so you know where to go not to miss anything from the festival. 

We even prepared a guide map to help you navigate in our beautiful city of Detmold. You will find all the spots and one more as a bonus! Why did we add Alte Pauline, you ask? The most important event of the whole festival is happening there! Get ready for the afterparty! 

The volunteering team has already achieved so much. We have designed hoodies with the Kultur and Art logo, posters, timetables and leporellos. Videography is working on the teasers and trailers and they are also starting to film a short documentary about the volunteers that came together from all over the world to help organize the festival. The promotion team is looking for sponsors all over the region and the marketing team has reached out to regional newspapers so more people can hear about our festival.
