PROJECT CONTENT

Our idea is to come together and get to know each other. So, we work on ourselves, learn from each other, understand each other to create together. You will meet people who are interested in: Personal growth, mental health, music, dance, art, cinema. Every participant can bring their own unique talent into the program. We are richer thanks to diversity. Let’s harmonize.

For us, it is really important that we find ways to hear all the needs of every member in our project and especially the needs of the people who have fewer privileges. So, we can find the most respectful way to realize our project. We are eager to hear your suggestions.

We want you to know that this project can deal with heavy topics and can get really emotional and challenging. But we will do our best to create space for everyone to take a break and communicate their needs and feelings during the project at all times.

We will need all of us to act, speak and treat each other in the most sensitive, thoughtful and respectful way. We will create the exact content and the time schedule of our program with you in the first days of the project. Anything is possible according to your needs and expectations of all of us!

Possible topics which came to our minds and of course looking forward to hear your thoughts on it:

  • Our language of expressing feelings in different art forms.
  • Supporting each other in our healing processes.
  • Our art as a from of healing and self-love.
  • Art as a language for connection.
  • Work – Life balance
  • How can we support, understand, respect, help each other?
  • Finding ways to get active in our communities and fight against any form of injustice and discrimination.

PARTICIPANTS

  • Open to challenge themselves for learning in the intense programme of the training
  • Ready to organize at least one follow-up activity using the experience from this exchange (individually or together with another person from the same country) within 3 months after the program.

We especially invite people affected by any forms of discrimination such as ableism, racism, classism and sexism. The people coming together from five different countries all have different backgrounds and socialization which is why we can’t promise a safe space. But we would like to communicate about these important topics collectively and respectfully, meeting each other where everyone is at. We should all feel responsible to sensitize each other and create a safer space for everybody. Since this program line from Erasmus+ has no opportunities to pay educators.

ABOUT TURKEY

Turkey, a country that occupies a unique geographic position, lying partly in Asia and partly in Europe. Throughout its history, it has acted as both a barrier and a bridge between the two continents. Turkey is larger than some European travel countries such as Italy, France, Germany, and the UK. Turkey offers a wealth of destination varieties to travelers: from dome-and-minaret filled skyline of Istanbul to Roman ruins along the western and southern coasts, from heavily indented coastline against a mountainous backdrop of Lycia and wide and sunny beaches of Pamphylia to cold and snowy mountains of the East, from crazy “foam parties” of Bodrum to Middle Eastern-flavoured cities of Southeastern Anatolia, from verdant misty mountains of Eastern Black Sea to wide steppe landscapes of Central Anatolia, there is something for everyone’s taste.

ABOUT ANTALYA

The westerly region of Turkey’s Mediterranean coastline is especially popular. There are abundance of beach kinds such as Rocky, sandy beaches as well as pebbly beaches especially around the Konyaalti Bay. With a particularly diverse landscape, it is actually quite feasible to enjoy a morning swim, and then head to the Taurus Mountains for a spot of skiing in the afternoon at the neighbouring resort of Davras. Antalya’s historical Old Town area known as Kaleici. It offers beautiful harbour views and is surrounded by medieval fortified walls, which date back before both the Roman and Byzantine periods and have been restored many times. Currently it is the fastest growing city in Turkey. Besides, Antalya enjoys an idyllic climate for a good deal of the year and much tourism.

Weather: The climate in Antalya is warm and temperate. The winter months are also sunny most of the time. However, it is also rainy and the rains are so dense in winter times.
