We are proud to present the 22nd edition of ISFF Detmold. This year’s selection brings together 99 wonderfully creative short films, and we could not be prouder to host them! Taking place from 24th to 29th August 2026, the festival will run its first three days at Kaiserhof+ and its final three days at Café Cup. We believe films are for everyone, and everyone is welcome to celebrate creativity and diversity with us.

Under the theme “Short Films for Everyone,” the 22nd ISFF Detmold is committed to inclusivity, offering barrier-free film experiences. Selected screenings feature audio descriptions for visually impaired audiences and subtitles for the hearing impaired, ensuring that everyone can engage with the power of film.

The ISFF Detmold showcases outstanding short films from visionary filmmakers worldwide. With over 3,000 submissions from more than 100 countries each year, the festival highlights non-commercial works across genres—including documentaries, animations, experimental films, and fiction.
